Waterfall Near Milemarker 65 On Indepedence Pass Road (Highway 24, Colorado)
I recently rode my bicycle to Independence Pass from the east side of the pass beginning at Twin Lakes.
Along a very steep stretch of road near the top is an unnamed waterfall near milemarker 65. From my numerous visits to this area, the waterfall typically runs throughout the spring and early summer.
Be advised that this portion of highway is located on a "shelf" of
a mountain with a steep drop off from the road. It might be dangerous to "rubber neck"
from one's car on this stretch of highway.
