Bridal Veil Falls
Bridal Veil Falls is a large, two-pronged waterfall located
east of the ski village of Telluride, Colorado. To get there, take the
main avenue in Telluride east past the Pandora Mine area. The road becomes
a dirt road and a 4-wheel drive truck or high-clearance vehicle is suggested.
This left photo taken in October 2005, and as you can see, winter comes early in this part of the country with
snow having already accumulated! From this vantage point,
the approximate 100 yard drop of this waterfall is quite impressive, although my digital
camera did not quite capture the depth in the the left photo. The right photo gives a better perspective, which
was taken in the late morning on a summer day.
